LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons (Gibson City, IL), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cerro Gordo/Bement for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. LeRoy will battle a Broncos squad coming off a 19-0 league loss to Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL). The Broncos record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Lexington (Lexington, IL) to battle the Minutemen in a Heart of Illinois challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Minutemen enter the challenge with a record of 4-5.
