Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers (Bridgewater, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Sunday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Delaware Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8.

With the loss, Governor Livingston falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ) to battle the Minutemen in a UCC - Watchung challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Minutemen enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Elizabeth won 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ)
