The Covington Buccs baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks to 1 in the Buccs non-league win on Monday.
The Buccs now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Milton-Union for a non-league test on Thursday, April 10. Covington will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Troy Christian (Troy, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.
With the defeat, Mississinawa Valley drops to 1-4 on the year. The Blackhawks host Franklin Monroe (Pitsburg, OH) to play the Jets in a Western Ohio Athletic test on Tuesday, April 8. The Jets go into the test with a record of 3-4. Franklin Monroe lost 16-2 in their recent non-league test against St. Henry (St. Henry, OH)
