The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL) and the host Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL), saw Midland's baseball team beat Galva by a margin of 8-2.

The Timberwolves (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Seneca (Seneca, IL). The Fighting Irish enter the Tri-County battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Seneca was overwhelmed by Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Wildcats face the Monmouth United Red Storm (Monmouth, IL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 10. Galva will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Red Storm enter the battle with a 10-2 record after their 9-5 non-league win over Annawan-Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL).
