Salem Lions (Salem, IN) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting New Washington Mustangs (New Washington, IN), 2-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Salem advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Clarksville (Clarksville, IN) to battle the Generals in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 8. The Generals come into the match with a record of 0-0.
The Mustangs now have a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Ripley for a non-league match on Thursday, April 10.
