In Monday's non-league contest, the host University Liggett Knights lacrosse squad scored a good 19-6 triumph over the St. Catherine of Siena Academy Athletes.

The Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Academy of the Sacred Heart (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Gazelles go into the Division 2 Region 7 contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Academy of the Sacred Heart knocked off Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, MI), 13-6, in a league contest.

Next, the Athletes meet the Central Catholic Fighting Irish (Toledo, OH) in a Region 5 contest, on Wednesday, April 9. St. Catherine of Siena Academy will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the contest with a 0-5 record after their 15-9 non-league loss to Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH).
