Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Perryville Pirates (Perryville, MO) and the host Central Tigers (Cape Girardeau, MO), saw Perryville's soccer squad hold off Central by a count of 2-1.

The Pirates (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Fredericktown (Fredericktown, MO). The Black Cats enter the Class 2 District 1 battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Fredericktown was edged by Farmington (Farmington, MO), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Kelly Hawks (Benton, MO) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 8. Central will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record.
