Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC) and the visiting Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC), saw North Henderson's soccer squad hold off Mountain Heritage by a count of 2-1.

The Knights (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Bears enter the Mountain Seven 3A battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Pisgah was edged by East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Cougars confront the NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A battle, on Wednesday, April 9. Mountain Heritage will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Dragons enter the battle with a 9-2 record after their 5-2 league win over Avery County (Newland, NC).
