West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) backers exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the visiting Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA), 3-1 in a non-league game.

With the victory, West Springfield improves its record to 1-4 on the season. The Spartans host Yorktown (Arlington, VA) to play the Patriots in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 9. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 3-3. Yorktown lost 15-12 in their recent non-league game against Oakton (Vienna, VA)

The Lions now have a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Annandale for a non-league game on Monday, April 21.
