The Allen County-Scottsville Patriots softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Nicholas County Bluejackets to 1 in the Patriots non-league win on Monday.

The Patriots now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Russell County for a non-league battle on Monday, April 14. Allen County-Scottsville will confront a Lakers team coming off a 24-15 non-league win over Adair County (Columbia, KY). The Lakers record now stands at 6-0.

With the loss, Nicholas County moves to 1-2 on the season. The Bluejackets host Harlan County (Harlan, KY) to confront the Black Bears in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 8. The Black Bears come into the battle with a record of 1-0. Harlan County won 20-15 in their recent non-league battle against Western Hills (Frankfort, KY)
