The Athens Warriors softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Midwest Central/Illini Central Raiders to 0 in the Warriors league win on Monday.

The Warriors now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Auburn for a Sangamo battle on Tuesday, April 8. Athens will confront a Trojans team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Pana (Pana, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Midwest Central/Illini Central falls to 0-5 on the year. The Raiders host New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL) to play the Vipers in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 8. The Vipers enter the game with a record of 0-6. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly lost 6-3 in their recent non-league game against Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL)
