In Monday's non-league match, the host Byrd Yellow Jackets softball team scored a tight 10-6 win over the Ebarb Rebels.
The Yellow Jackets (5-13) will now prepare for their match against Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA). The Gators come into the 5A District 1 match with a 16-13 record. In their last match, Captain Shreve nipped Summerfield (Summerfield, LA), 17-2, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Rebels confront the Hornbeck Hornets (Hornbeck, LA) in a C District 3 match, on Tuesday, April 8. Ebarb will attempt to better on its 16-4 season record. The Hornets come into the match with a 2-7 record after their 10-4 league loss to Evans (Evans, LA).
