The Garfield Bulldogs overwhelmed the host Mercer Island Islanders softball squad by a count of 23-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs meet the West Seattle (Seattle, WA) in a 3A Metro challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. Garfield will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The go into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 12-3 league loss to Holy Names Academy (Seattle, WA).
The Islanders (5-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Interlake (Bellevue, WA). The Saints come into the 3A KingCo match with a 8-5 record. In their last match, Interlake notched a victory over Tyee (SeaTac, WA), 11-3, in a non-league match.
