In Monday's non-league match, the host Gillespie Miners softball team scored a nice 12-2 win over the Lincolnwood Lancers.

The Miners (5-4) will now prepare for their match against Litchfield (Litchfield, IL). The Purple Panthers come into the South Central match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, Litchfield notched a victory over Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL), 15-11, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Lancers confront the Pawnee Indians (Pawnee, IL) in a MSM match, on Tuesday, April 8. Lincolnwood will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Indians come into the match with a 6-2 record after their 14-3 non-league loss to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL).
