In Monday's non-league test, the New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), by a tally of 11-1.
Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) in a non-league test, on Thursday, April 10. New Albany will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Bears go into the test with a 12-10 record after their 6-4 non-league win over Wheeler (Wheeler, MS).
The Wildcats (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS). The Hawks go into the 3A Region 2 test with a 2-0 record.
