In Monday's non-league match, the host Lakeview Honkers softball team scored a tight 8-4 win over the Modoc Braves.

The Honkers (3-3) will now prepare for their match against Mazama (Klamath Falls, OR). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Mazama nipped Klamath Union (Klamath Falls, OR), 11-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Braves battle the Trinity Wolves (Weaverville, CA) in a Shasta Cascade match, on Friday, April 11. Modoc will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Wolves come into the match with a 10-7 record after their 9-3 league loss to Etna (Etna, CA).
