The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), observed Metamora's softball team prevail over Lincoln by a tally of 16-3.

The Redbirds (8-1) will now prepare for their bout against Washington (Washington, IL). The Panthers go into the Mid-Illini bout with a 3-0 record. In their last bout, Washington knocked off Williamsville (Williamsville, IL), 12-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Railsplitters clash with the Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL) in a Central State Eight bout, on Tuesday, April 8. Lincoln will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Brimfield (Brimfield, IL).
