Texas High School Baseball - Meridian loses to Avalon

April 7, 2026: Avalon, TX 76623

Avalon Eagles (Avalon, TX) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX), 14-0 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Avalon advances its record to 6-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Frankston (Frankston, TX) to battle the Indians in a 2A Region III District 20 match on Friday, April 10. The Indians come into the match with a record of 19-3. Frankston won 17-0 in their recent non-league match against Union Hill (Gilmer, TX)

The Yellowjackets now have a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Itasca for a 2A Region II District 15 match on Friday, April 10. Meridian will battle a Wampus Cats squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Rio Vista (Rio Vista, TX). The Wampus Cats record now stands at 15-6.
