The Salida Spartans (Salida, CO) baseball trounced the visiting Florence Huskies (Florence, CO), 13-3 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Manitou Springs for a 3A/2A Tri-Peaks challenge on Saturday, April 11. Salida will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Peyton (Peyton, CO). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-7.

With the defeat, Florence drops to 4-6 on the year. The Huskies host Custer County (Westcliffe, CO) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 15. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 5-5.
