The Grant County Braves baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Somerset Briar Jumpers to 6 in the Braves non-league win on Tuesday.

The Braves now hold a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they host Anderson County for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 7. Grant County will play a Bearcats team coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Hart County (Munfordville, KY). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-7.

With the defeat, Somerset drops to 4-10 on the year. The Briar jumpers travel to Bullitt Central (Shepherdsville, KY) to play the Cougars in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 8. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 7-6. Bullitt Central lost 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Barren County (Glasgow, KY)
