The South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR) baseball got by the host Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR), 8-7 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Hornet now own a 13-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Joseph for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 9. South Side will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 21-3 league win over Sacred Heart (Morrilton, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-2.

With the defeat, Quitman drops to 7-5 on the year. The Bulldogs host Bigelow (Bigelow, AR) to clash with the Panthers in a 2A Region 5 challenge on Friday, April 10. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 6-8. Bigelow lost 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Conway Christian (Conway, AR)
