The Wildcats now possess a 15-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wills Point for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 9. Rains will face a Tigers team coming off a 4-3 league win over Athens (Athens, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-10.
Next, the Tigers face the Chapel Hill Red Devils (Mount Pleasant, TX) in a 3A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, April 12. Mount Vernon will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Red Devils enter the bout with a 2-6 record after their 5-3 league win over Quitman (Quitman, TX).
