The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) and the visiting Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), saw Homestead's volleyball squad beat Fremont by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Homestead upgrades its record to 11-1 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Gunn (Palo Alto, CA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, April 9. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Gunn won 2-0 in their recent league bout against King's Academy (Sunnyvale, CA)

The Firebirds now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they host Mt. Pleasant for a non-league bout on Tuesday, April 12. Fremont will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hillsdale (San Mateo, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-1.
