In Friday's non-league contest, the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) softball team overwhelmed the host Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA), by a margin of 11-2.
With the triumph, Steele Canyon moves its record to 7-6 on the year. The Cougars travel to El Capitan (Lakeside, CA) to play the Vaqueros in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 9. The Vaqueros come into the contest with a record of 6-5.
In their next game, the Chieftains play the Santana Sultans (Santee, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 8. Clairemont will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Sultans come into the contest with a 12-2 record after their 20-5 non-league win over Clairemont (San Diego, CA).
