Archbishop Mitty Monarchs (San Jose, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Foothill Falcons (Pleasanton, CA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Monarchs now own a 15-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 9. Archbishop Mitty will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 6-4 non-league loss to Granada (Livermore, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Foothill falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Benicia (Benicia, CA) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Benicia won 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Dublin (Dublin, CA)
