Bay Tigers (Bay St. Louis, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Martin for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. Bay will battle a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 18-5 league loss to Ocean Springs (Ocean Springs, MS). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 12-11.

With the loss, West Harrison falls to 7-16 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS) to battle the Blue Devils in a 5A Region 8 challenge on Monday, April 11. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 14-8. Pearl River Central lost 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Montgomery (Semmes, AL)
