Conrad Cowboys (Conrad, MT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lockwood LIONS (Billings, MT), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cowboys now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntley Project for a B District 4B challenge on Friday, April 8.

With the loss, Lockwood falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Laurel (Laurel, MT) to battle the Locomotives in a A Eastern challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Locomotives enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Laurel won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Hardin (Hardin, MT)
