Kentucky High School Baseball - Somerset loses to Clay County

The Somerset Briar Jumpers baseball team (Somerset, KY), was overwhelmed 15-5 in Saturday's non-league outing with the host Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY)

The Tigers now hold a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jackson County for a District 49 outing on Monday, April 10. Clay County will confront a Generals team coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Generals record now stands at 4-6.

Next, the Briar Jumpers confront the Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, April 8. Somerset will attempt to advance on its 7-8 season record. The Broncos go into the outing with a 9-4 record after their 7-4 non-league win over Union Grove (McDonough, GA).
