The Newark Wildcats crushed the visiting Licking Heights Hornets baseball team by a tally of 12-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Crossing for a Ohio Capital - Buckeye bout on Monday, April 17.

Next, the Hornets face the Zanesville Blue Devils (Zanesville, OH) in a Licking County bout, on Monday, April 10. Licking Heights will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Blue Devils enter the bout with a 2-6 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Maysville (Zanesville, OH).
