The Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA) volleyball nudged the visiting Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.
With the win, Summit Shasta upgrades its record to 6-1 on the year. The Black Bears travel to The Nueva School (San Mateo, CA) to face the Mavericks in a outing on Thursday, April 27. The Mavericks go into the outing with a record of 2-0.
The Firebirds now own a 14-10 record. They play next when they travel to Serra for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 8. Fremont will face a Padres squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA). The Padres record now stands at 6-8.
