In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Mater Dei Knights soccer squad scored a good 11-0 triumph over the Pinckneyville Panthers.
The Knights (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Highland (Highland, IL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Highland thwarted Jersey (Jerseyville, IL), 5-2, in a league battle.
The Panthers (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Carterville (Carterville, IL). The Lions come into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Carterville thwarted DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL), 8-0, in a non-league battle.
