San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Scripps Ranch Falcons (San Diego, CA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bonita Vista for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. San Marcos will face a Barons squad coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA). The Barons record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Scripps Ranch falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to University City (San Diego, CA) to face the Centurions in a challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Centurions enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. University City lost 13-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA)
