Northwestern Huskies (West Salem, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs (Carroll, OH), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hilliard Bradley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. Northwestern will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Western Brown (Mt. Orab, OH). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Bloom-Carroll falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Rock Hill (Ironton, OH) to face the Redmen in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. The Redmen enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Rock Hill lost 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Fairland (Proctorville, OH)
