The Marengo Indians softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Eureka Hornets to 2 in the Indians non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Marengo moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Indians travel to Sterling (Sterling, IL) to clash with the Golden Warriors in a non-league game on Monday, April 10. The Golden Warriors come into the game with a record of 7-1. Sterling won 4-3 in their recent league game against East Moline United (East Moline, IL)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL) in a Heart of Illinois game, on Monday, April 10. Eureka will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 5-3 record after their 11-1 league win over Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL).
