Kentucky High School Softball - Franklin-Simpson can't get by Taylor County

In Saturday's non-league contest, the Taylor County Cardinals (Campbellsville, KY) softball team held off the visiting Franklin-Simpson Wildcats (Franklin, KY), by a margin of 4-3.

With the triumph, Taylor County moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Cardinals host Henderson County (Henderson, KY) to play the Colonels in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 8. The Colonels come into the contest with a record of 4-1. Henderson County won 13-2 in their recent non-league contest against Butler County (Morgantown, KY)

In their next game, the Wildcats play the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons (Madisonville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 8. Franklin-Simpson will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Maroons come into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 7-0 league win over Caldwell County (Princeton, KY).
