La Porte Slicers (La Porte, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies (Plymouth, IN), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Slicers now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Merrillville for a Duneland challenge on Tuesday, April 11. La Porte will face a Pirates squad coming off a 20-0 non-league loss to Highland (Highland, IN). The Pirates record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Plymouth falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Pilgrims/rockies host Culver Community (Culver, IN) to face the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Culver Community won 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Argos (Argos, IN)
