Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Cary Academy Chargers (Cary, NC), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots face the Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) in a Super Six 1A/2A challenge, on Wednesday, April 10. Franklin Academy will attempt to better on its 10-1 season record. The Firebirds enter the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 0-0 non-league Vance County (Henderson, NC).

The Chargers now have a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Raleigh Christian Academy for a NCISAA Triangle challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Cary Academy will face a Knights team coming off a 2-1 league win over Ravenscroft (Raleigh, NC). The Knights record now stands at 7-2.
