South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL), 15-14 in a non-league challenge.

The Sobos now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Harvest Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. South Beloit will face a Lions squad coming off a 18-8 non-league win over Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL). The Lions record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Ashton-Franklin Center falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Raiders host Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL) to face the Missiles in a NUIC South challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Missiles enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Milledgeville won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Pearl City (Pearl City, IL)
