In Monday's non-league contest, the East Newton Patriots (Granby, MO) softball team overwhelmed the host Marionville Comets (Marionville, MO), by a margin of 11-0.
With the triumph, East Newton moves its record to 6-5 on the year. The Patriots travel to Springfield Catholic (Springfield, MO) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 11. The Fighting Irish come into the contest with a record of 8-2.
In their next game, the Comets play the Ash Grove Pirates (Ash Grove, MO) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 9. Marionville will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record.
