The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Wando Warriors (Mt. Pleasant, SC) and the host James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC), saw Wando's softball squad achieve victory over James Island by a count of 14-4.

The Warriors now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Summerville for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 10. Wando will face a Green Wave squad coming off a 13-0 league win over Fort Dorchester (North Charleston, SC). The Green Wave record now stands at 16-0.

With the loss, James Island falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host May River (Bluffton, SC) to face the Sharks in a AAAA Region 7 match on Tuesday, April 9. The Sharks enter the match with a record of 5-6. May River lost 4-2 in their recent non-league match against T.L. Hanna (Anderson, SC)
