With the triumph, Newman Central Catholic moves its record to 2-5 on the year. The Comets travel to Dixon (Dixon, IL) to play the Dukes & Duchesses in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 11. The Dukes & Duchesses come into the contest with a record of 1-8. Dixon lost 13-6 in their recent league contest against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL)

In their next game, the Bruins play the Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) in a Tri-County contest, on Tuesday, April 9. St. Bede will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 4-1 record after their 10-0 league win over Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL).
