In Tuesday's league contest, the Newcastle Racers (Newcastle, OK) soccer team edged the host Blanchard Lions (Blanchard, OK), by a count of 2-1.
Next, the Racers battle the Woodward Boomers (Woodward, OK) in a 4A District 2 contest, on Friday, April 11. Newcastle will attempt to upgrade on its 8-0 season record. The Boomers enter the contest with a 4-3 record after their 10-1 league win over Harding Prep (Oklahoma City, OK).
The Lions (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Clinton (Clinton, OK). The Red Tornadoes enter the 4A District 2 contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Clinton held off Weatherford (Weatherford, OK), 4-3, in a league contest.
