In Tuesday's league contest, the host Manchester Valley Mavericks lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-1 triumph over the South Carroll Cavaliers.
The Mavericks (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Westminster (Westminster, MD). The Owls go into the Monocacy Valley contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Westminster held off South Carroll (Sykesville, MD), 10-9, in a league contest.
Next, the Cavaliers meet the Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 11. South Carroll will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 18-2 non-league win over Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD).
