In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Chrisman Cardinals softball team scored a tight 8-5 win over the St. Thomas More Sabers.

The Cardinals (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL). The Blue Devils come into the Vermilion Valley match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin was routed by St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 3-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Sabers confront the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) in a Illini Prairie match, on Thursday, April 10. St. Thomas More will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Hawks come into the match with a 4-6 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Seneca (Seneca, IL).
