In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Pontiac Indians softball team scored a tight 11-6 win over the Clifton Central Comets.
The Indians (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Rockets come into the Illini Prairie match with a 9-1 record. In their last match, Tolono Unity nipped Rantoul (Rantoul, IL), 18-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Comets confront the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) in a non-league match, on Thursday, April 10. Clifton Central will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Comets come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Sandwich (Sandwich, IL).
