The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Evansville North Huskies (Evansville, IN) and the host Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN), observed Evansville North's softball team get by Mt. Vernon by a tally of 6-0.

The Huskies (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Evansville Memorial (Evansville, IN). The Tigers go into the Southern Indiana bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Evansville Memorial was routed by Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN), 20-4, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Boonville Pioneers (Boonville, IN) in a Pocket bout, on Thursday, April 10. Mt. Vernon will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 14-0 league win over Pike Central (Petersburg, IN).
