Arizona High School Softball - Maricopa bested by Ironwood Ridge

The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks triumphed over the host Maricopa Rams softball squad by a count of 21-2 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Nighthawks meet the Sahuarita Mustangs (Sahuarita, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 9. Ironwood Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 17-3 record after their 14-0 league win over Cholla (Tucson, AZ).

The Rams (10-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ). The Falcons enter the 5A Sonoran challenge with a 1-13 record. In their last challenge, Catalina Foothills was routed by Cienega (Vail, AZ), 10-0, in a non-league challenge.
