The Southwestern Piasa Birds softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting North Greene Spartans to 0 in the Piasa Birds non-league win on Tuesday.

The Piasa Birds now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 9. Southwestern will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, North Greene moves to 1-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL) to confront the Tigers in a Western Illinois Valley - South battle on Thursday, April 10. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 3-8. Greenfield/Northwestern lost 8-4 in their recent non-league game against Beardstown (Beardstown, IL)
