The St. John's Cadets triumphed over the host The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans softball squad by a count of 26-6 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Cadets play the Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 11. St. John's will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD).
The Tartans (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals enter the Washington Catholic challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Bishop Ireton was routed by Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA), 11-2, in a league challenge.
