Illinois High School Baseball - Eureka edges Ridgeview

April 8, 2026: Eureka, IL 61530

The Eureka Hornets baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Ridgeview Mustangs to 11 in the Hornets league win on Wednesday.

The Hornets now hold a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Deer Creek-Mackinaw for a Heart of Illinois test on Friday, April 10. Eureka will play a Chiefs team coming off a 8-6 league loss to El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Chiefs record now stands at 6-2.

With the defeat, Ridgeview drops to 2-4 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL) to play the Cyclones in a non-league test on Thursday, April 9. The Cyclones go into the test with a record of 2-3. Cornerstone Christian lost 9-1 in their recent non-league test against Varsity Opponent (, )
